Food - Class Activity Std 4

Learning is fun and enjoyable through practical experience and this was made possible for the students of std -4 through the activity 'KHANA KHAZANA' wherein the students had to make and display various food items like sprout bhel, fruit salads, sandwiches, fermented food items like idli, dosa. they learnt about the various food constituents and the importance of eating healthy food to maintain good health.

Each child was asked to speak two sentences on any one internal organ [brain, lungs, stomach]Some children bought flash cards on which they spoke very well. children enjoyed the activity. 

Measurement of Time - Class Activity Std -4

'Time and tide wait for none' and hence to explain the students the importance of time, an activity of making a clock and telling the time was conducted. this helped them to understand the 12-hour and 24-hour method of time. 

7th Annual Day Sports Meet - ROAR

The year 2011-2012 was a year to 'ROAR', hence keeping in mind the need of the hour and most neglected issue of life -
 "Health and Fitness" was the charismatic theme. 
the day began sharp at 8.00 am with the March Past, Hoisting the flag, Declaration of sports meet open, releasing the balloons,
lighting the torch and the athletes oath, the 'R' achievers also shone bright on the field along with their medals and certificates 
for their achievements. All through with the fantastic start and still moving strong with the theme, various drills were presented concentrating and focusing on health and fitness [1] Yoga- The soothing souls [2] Aerobics- The little Jalvas [3] Malkhamb - The Balancing masters and the Dancing Divas, their performance left the parents and guests spell bound and speechless with the
applauds that echoed throughout. After the break the most awaited and funfilled events were displayed by the students for the
first time, by our little troopers enhancing the quality of team sprit and co-ordination. "The tele matches. It was a marvellous effort
made by the students and the teachers followed by the field events the 50 mts race for Std 1-4 and the relay for Std 4 girls and boys. 
All the students and parents awaited the most thrilling moment - The Results. 
Yellow -1st position with 37 points Green - 2nd position with 35 points Red 3rd position with 22 points Blue 4th position with 21 points  
Though the day came to end but the theme took its root in every heart each pledging to commit to be fir. More so the snacks that let people quit junk food for sandwiches, sprout bhel and yakult. The hammer rightly hit the nail making people aware and committed to be healthy and fit.

Students were shown 4D Orama movies on Aladdin & Aquapark which was electrifying and enjoyable.
At Nehru Science Centre they explored the scientific things on light, sound, motion and vision. 
The documentary show was shown on different cultures of India civilisation, dynasties etc. 
Children enjoyed the 3D show-on- space at the Nehru Planetarium. 

All India Camel Colour contest

1335 students of Std 1 to 4 participated in the contest
 which was organised by All India Camel Colour. 
6 students were selected for the Regional level competition.

Other Important Places In neighbourhood

Empty boxes and cartons of various utility items were displayed on the table. 
student had to purchased two things from the displayed articles
 and do the monetary transactions with fake currency notes made by children.

One of the most popular festival NAVRATRI which is celebrated in different ways
 in different parts of the country was also celebrated by our little Rustomites as
Rangtali
Students were dressed in colourful traditional clothes and enjoyed the Garba & Dandyia.
